Our Story
Having served in the U.S. Army from 1996 to 2008 after being honorably discharched, our founder Mike Durden was working in Logistics and Distribution when a vendor company came in and installed a Wharehouse Management System. Having worked with computers at a young age (starting with a Tandy TRS-80, or more affectioniotely caloled a Trash 80), Mike took to the technology right away. He quickly became a super user of the system and ended up traveling and working with the WMS Deployment Team. Shortly after joining the team he mistakenly discovered a fundamental flaw with the software; allowing certain users to be able to gain Administrative access to the database. This sparked what has been a life long journey down the rabbit hole in Cyber Security.
Mike has worked in IT in various capacities and with clients ranging from small "Mom 'n' Pops" businesses, to the Federal Government. In 2013 Mike decided to start a company working in IT and decided to call it Private Custom Solutions. He named it that because he belived and continues to believe that no two clients or companies are alike and should receive a high level of autonomy as well as custom services to ensure their success. Over the years he's worked to develop Private Custom Solutions from a small starter IT company into an MSP and now into an MSP/MSSP providing best in class Cyber Security Products as well as partnering with Microsoft to help businesses gain success with productivity and automation.
